Luana Dos Santos

Hi! My name is Luana and I’m a junior here at USC! I’m a psychology major with minors in healthcare studies and dance, and I’m on the pre-PA track. I’m currently co-director of membership at AMWA. I first joined AMWA as a freshman to find other people who were studying something similar to me, and I’ve loved being part of such a supportive group of people since being pre-health can be so daunting. After graduating, I plan on taking 2 gap years to work as an MA, and then apply to PA school. Outside of class and AMWA, I volunteer at the LA General Medical Center twice a week and am involved with Latino Students in Medicine. If I would have to give advice to new members, I’d say to not compare yourself too much to what other people are doing because everyone’s journey is different :)
