Seon-Jae Yoon

Seon-Jae is a sophomore majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at the University of Southern California. After graduation, Seon-Jae plans to enter medical school to pursue a career in dermatology.

As the current Social Media Coordinator, this is Seon-Jae’s second year in USC AMWA. AMWA was one of the first organizations that Seon-Jae joined at USC. She wanted to be a part of an organization that supported other women in or interested in the medical and health care fields and loved the community of like-minded and intelligent women. From the community, she was able to learn a lot from a variety of perspectives of different women, and hopes to gain more knowledge and guidance from them.

Outside of AMWA, Seon-Jae is a part of USC’s Global Medical Brigades and Shinkendo club. She is also a research volunteer in Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In her free time, Seon-Jae likes to read, collect things, watch YouTube, and sing.

For incoming members, Seon-Jae advises you to definitely reach out to the members of the E-Board as well as the other members of the club. “USC AMWA is very welcoming and we would love to hear from you and talk with you!”

This year, Seon-Jae hopes to create a safe environment for all members and wants to maintain good communication via social medias so that no one is left in the dark. In this way, she hopes that everyone will be able to know about all the opportunities USC AMWA has for this year and that everyone will be able to enjoy and explore these opportunities.
